Project Objectives:
To strengthen the capacity of WAHO as a leader in Health in West Africa, to be the lead health institution in the region for accelerating access to and availability of inclusive and affordable quality health services; ensuring effective public health emergency preparedness and response capabilities across the ECOWAS region; and strengthening WAHO’s institutional processes and promoting organizational excellence.
This is expected to be achieved through:
- Result IR 1.1: WAHO better communicates its mandate and value add to member states and other Partners.
- Result IR 1.2: Best practices and priority policies identified by WAHO and consensus reached on adoption.
- Result IR 1.3: Policy implementation across the region monitored in real-time.
- Result IR 2.1: Quality of technical support to member states enhanced.
- Result IR 2.2: Resources to implement new policies mobilized.
- Result IR 2.3: Country-level policy implementation monitored by Ministries of Health.
