USAID West Africa in working visit to WAHO

Bobo-Dioulasso, 6 November 2018 – A delegation of USAID West Africa is in Bobo-Dioulasso for a working visit with WAHO.

The USAID West Africa delegation is led by the new Regional Health Office Director, Ms. Akua Kwateng-Addo.

The main objectives of the November 6 and 7 meeting are:

  1. Present achievements of the Leadership Capacity Strengthening (CAPS) project being implemented by WAHO
  2. Take stock of past collaboration between USAID West Africa and WAHO
  3. Discuss collaboration between WAHO and the new USAID Family Planning project, AmplifyPF
  4. Discuss collaboration between WAHO and Health Policy Plus (HP+)

WAHO and USAID will also discuss future Collaboration with particular emphasis on 1) what has worked well and what has not during the past collaboration; 2) Country accountability for implementing resolutions; 3) Dakar Declaration for Key Populations; 4) Ouagadougou Partnership next scheduled meeting; and 5) WAHO Regional Commodity Warehouse.
