The West African Health Organisation (WAHO) in collaboration with the Federal Government of the Republic of Nigeria is organising the 25th Ordinary Meeting of the ECOWAS Assembly of Ministers of Health.

Chaired by the President of the ECOWAS Commission, the Director General of the West African Health Organisation (WAHO) and the Honourable Minister of Health and Social Welfare of Nigeria, the meeting with the Theme: ‘Quality of Health Care in the ECOWAS region: analysis of determinants and perspectives’  will be held in Abuja Continental Hotel at 9:00am on 17th May, 2024.
 
The meeting will bring together the Honourable Ministers of Health of ECOWAS Member States, Health Experts and Stakeholders.

The ECOWAS Assembly of Ministers of Health (AMS) is a statutory body of ECOWAS where health authorities (i) assess the health situation in ECOWAS (ii) take harmonised decisions on current health issues, and (iii) make recommendations to Member States on all matters of interest to the health of the community and beyond. 

WAHO: Promoting better health through regional integration.

The meeting will be preceded by 4 days technical meetings: WAHO Liaison officers (13 May 2024), Countries Countries health experts meeting (14-15 May 2024), Partners forum (16 May 2024).
