USAID West Africa in working visit to WAHO
Bobo-Dioulasso, 6 November 2018 – A delegation of USAID West Africa is in Bobo-Dioulasso for a working visit with WAHO.
The USAID West Africa delegation is led by the new Regional Health Office Director, Ms. Akua Kwateng-Addo.
The main objectives of the November 6 and 7 meeting are:
- Present achievements of the Leadership Capacity Strengthening (CAPS) project being implemented by WAHO
- Take stock of past collaboration between USAID West Africa and WAHO
- Discuss collaboration between WAHO and the new USAID Family Planning project, AmplifyPF
- Discuss collaboration between WAHO and Health Policy Plus (HP+)
WAHO and USAID will also discuss future Collaboration with particular emphasis on 1) what has worked well and what has not during the past collaboration; 2) Country accountability for implementing resolutions; 3) Dakar Declaration for Key Populations; 4) Ouagadougou Partnership next scheduled meeting; and 5) WAHO Regional Commodity Warehouse.
